What is FASD?

Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder is a lifelong disability (affecting more than three in every 100 people in the UK) which occurs after a fetus is exposed to alcohol during pregnancy. The effects can vary greatly from person to person but a diagnosis can be made if there is evidence of significant difficulties in at least three of the following areas:
